But, I digress, because the rest of your points are very valid:

I dunno... by using CVS to simply check out the sources, and then
running gtranslator, you can update the file, edit it, validate it, and
then run cvs diff and mail that off. That way, you know that you're
current...

*nod* Fair enough. But are people who cannot use cvs and gtranslator
likely to be the ones stepping forward to provide translations? That
isn't a rhetorical question... it's something that I do not know, and am
curious about.
