Can you please be more specific? I don't know what error are you

Sorry, Danilo: I'd sent a previous message explaining that (which
doesn't seem to be listed... odd). The second email was an update, as
it said.
When trying to create a .pot file (for the first time, since all
other application files for my language which I'd encountered so far,
had already been partly translated), I was also using intltool for
the first time, and I encountered an error:
________________

intltool-update --pot
readline() on closed filehandle IN at /sw/bin/intltool-update line 867.
Cannot find top_srcdir in Makefile. at /sw/bin/intltool-update line 882.

I don't understand the error, nor what I should do about it. The
second mail was to say that I'd found the generated .pot file on my
disk, and it appeared to be complete. However, I wanted to check with
you about the error, so I could be sure that I was working with a
correct file.
If possible, I would like to avoid creating this error.
I had recently installed intltool (successfully) via fink on Mac OSX
10.4.2.
I hope that's clear enough. At least, this time, it's in one message,
not two. ;) I wonder where the first one went? :o
