I'm looking forward for source opening of Launchpad.
I can agree with much of what you stated in your message, except the
last part. Personally, I don't like the current Launchpad workflow
approach. I think that when someone translates a package, he should do
it entirely to assure consistency in the whole package. That's what
we're promoting with the Vertimus approach. Of course, that's also
possible with Launchpad, but in practice, we're seeing many people
translating some strings in a package, then stopping (lack of time,
translation difficulty) and then choosing another package to do the same
thing.
So different approach of the workflow that can suite different people
preferences, but I wouldn't call it one or the other the *best*
approach :-)
