Unusual wording in glib HEAD

Hi,

Can a native English speaker with a clue check if the following string
from glib makes sense?

#: ../gio/gicon.c:469
msgid "Can't handle the supplied version the icon encoding"

My instincts tell me to translate it as if it means:

msgid "Can't handle the supplied version *of* the icon encoding"

Any opinion?
