Many thanks Claude for this great new feature :)
Just a question about it. Will this feature help us to fix the
mismatching statistics in DL? For example, in the Spanish team [1],
there is an untranslated string in the GNOME 3.8 moduleset, but the
page of the moduleset ifself [2] says there are no untranslasted
strings.
I know this error happens from time to time, and you always fix it,
but i'd like to be able to fix it myself, without disturbing you. Is
it possible with the new feature?
Maybe yes, maybe no... :-)
It depends on the source of the error. Generally, this is caused by a
POT file which cannot be properly regenerated. In that case, the better
resolution would be to fix the problem with that POT file.
In the case where the discrepancy is caused by statistics that didn't
finish properly, then yes, the new function can help.
To find the offending package, compare your language detailed stats with
POT files:
https://l10n.gnome.org/languages/es/gnome-3-8/ui/
https://l10n.gnome.org/languages/C/gnome-3-8/ui/
Then find where is the difference in the total number of strings for
each package. Exercise left to the reader...!
