Hi everyone?

Has anyone unblock the situation? Can I simply ask the po files to these new contributor and push them to the git repository?

I have no idea if they even have access to Damned Lies and if they published these anywhere and I am just a bit scared they just drop the ball and we lose a full translation in a new language just because the language is missing a coordinator.

So I would just go with any compromise. Also I have no idea myself what is the usual process for translators. When people ask us how to translate for GIMP, we usually just ask them to go and ask you, guys. :P

So dear GNOME-i18n, now what is the next steps for these new contributors if there are no coordinators in their language?

In the sort term, any other coordinator (or GIMP maintainer) can volunteer and commit Marathi files provided that they are properly uploaded to:

As a GIMP dev, I would not mind volunteering to just temporarily sort out the situation, but I never used Damned Lies, and don't even have an account. Even if I made one now, I would still have to figure out the GUI, what to do, etc.

I guess another coordinator would just do a better job. We would appreciate anyone to help our Marathi students (I assume they are, seeing they are saying to be from a university). :-)
