Compilation of the .27 tarballs went fairly well on my Debian
Linux 2.0.33 system, the only change I had to make was to remove all
references to the 'po' directory from the main Makefiles of gnome-core and
gnome-utils (per suggestion made on this list). Now I have these problems.
When I run gnome-session under enlightenment DR14, the following is
printed:
SESSION_MANAGER=local/mstie:/tmp/.ICE-unix/9127,tcp/mstie:2287
gmc: Command not found.
icewm: Command not found.
gnome-smproxy: Command not found.
Segmentation fault
Segmentation fault
Then the panel never starts. I can get the panel to appear by
running 'panel', but I can't seem to add applets to it. I get errors like
the following:
message: Initializing CORBA for panel
started applet, pid: 9157
message: Initializing CORBA for applet
** ERROR **: sigsegv caught
** WARNING **: Forcefully removing connection 0x81be368 from poll list
Saving to [/panel.d/default/]
Saving session: 1 2 3 4
The panel itself appears unchanged. However, I am able to add
things like the shutdown button or menus to the panel without problem.
Thanks for any help in advance,
Corey Miller
