gnome-core compiling errors

Hello....I'm in the midst of compiling all the gnome files....I have
gotten all of the latest off of CVS, and am going in the order suggested
by the CVS tutuorial....

when I'm compiling gnome-core, i get this error:

gcc -g -O2 -o mouse-properties main.o args.o property-mouse.o app-mouse.o
-L/opt/gnome/lib -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lgnomeui -lgdk_imlib -ltiff -lungif
-lpng -lz -lSM -lICE -lgtk-1.1 -lgdk-1.1 -lXext -lX11 -lm -lgnome
-lgnomesupport -lglib-1.1 -ldl -lXxf86misc ../intl/libintl.a
ld: cannot open -lXxf86misc: No such file or directory
make[2]: *** [mouse-properties] Error 1              

where can I get the Xxf68misc lib?  there isn't one anywhere on my box
