The implementation I am planning would include something similar to
the mc/src/ext.c code, the idea is that you would have in the GNOME
database something like:
type/gnumeric
Open=gnumeric %f
Where the "gnumeric" type is determined from looking at the file
contents, pretty much like the file command does.
