[libgtop] fresh compilation problems

I found that while building libgtop from a fresh CVS checkout, when it
goes on to build the examples, the linker uses '-lgtop' to link in the
libgtop.so library, but it isn't installed yet. I had to copy this file
to /usr/lib to get it to continue building.

Then, when compiling the examples again, the problem becomes :-
../sysdeps/common/.libs/libgtop_common.so: undefined reference to
`gdbm_open'

I must learn more about autoconf ;)
