./configure

Hi

I got down a couple of snapshots of E
lastnight
and there was no ./confiigure file in
them
can one use an old file to do this and
if so
could it be I un tar'd them in the wrong
place?

I put them in the /usr/share directory
and undid them there
then tried to run ./configure and it
couldn't find the sources
