IMHO it should... it looks a bit weird when the applets change their
background but the panel doesn't...

I was a bit unclear, sorry. The area of the CTree that is below the
actual tree (the empty area below the configuration tree) doesn't change
its background dynamically. If I switch theme, the background remains
the same until I quit and run the control-center again. This happens no
matter which theme I try.
