Problems with popt

I think this may be a deeper problem. I have been getting segfaults
inside gtk from EVERY gnome app when I pass it an unknown argument. 

Is this a problem that people are experiencing widely ?

Try 'same-gnome --raspberry', 'panel --donut', etc.
