Yes, that would work for Gnome apps. But not for the Gimp and not for
any other X app that does not use libgnomeui. I'm really happy that the
concept of a window manager is already established, since otherwise
every library would come with it's own window decorations and taskbar
and such...

But since I've not contributed a single line of code to Gnome, I will 
stop now. Sorry for my criticizm.
