Hi,
I followed the advice somebody gave me on the list, but I still cannot
compile gnome-libs-0.30 on my "Debian GNU/Linux 2.0 system".
I have gtk1.0.6 and imlib1.8.1 compiled and installed in /usr/local and
glib-1.1.3, gtk-1.1.2, imlib-1.8.1 and ORBit-0.3.0 in /usr/local/gnome.
I called the configure-script of gnome-libs-0.30 with the following
prefixes:
--prefix=/usr/local/gnome
--gtk-prefix=/usr/local/gnome
--glib-prefix=/usr/local/gnome
--imlib-prefix=/usr/local/gnome
--with-included-gettext
Why is the script looking for the imlib-config in /bin? I made a symbolic
ln to /usr/local/gnome/bin.
When I call make the compilation of gnome-libs stops after a short time
with the following error message:
argp-help.c: In function `hol_append':

I hope somebody can help me! I think there is someone on the list who had
the same problems on a Slackware Linux system.
Bye,
Herbert
