e.15 and gnome.30

I'm running into a problem with e and gnome.  Anytime I part of gnome
running (i.e. panel, cd player etc), and exit e, the gnome parts are
left running.  Also, if I watch top, the orphaned panel tryies to eat up
all the processor time, bringing the system to it's knees.  The only way
I have found to fix it, is to either got back into X and kill the
vagrant processes asap, or to do it from the command line.

If I leave them running for an extended period, the whole machine will
basically lock up, and I end up hitting the reset button.

Is anyone else having this problem?
