gtk+-1.0.X problems

Hi

I just installed the lattest gnome rpms and have a problem with gtk-1.0.X app

I first removed gtk+-1.0.X and glib-1.0.X. then installed the compatablity
rpm's glib10 and gtk+10 then installed glib-1.1.3 and gtk+-1.1.2.

now when I runs some gtk apps I get the following messages.

control-panel: error loading shared libraries
/usr/lib/libgtk.so.1: undefined symbol: g_strdelimit

gimp: error loading shared libraries
undefined symbol: __register_frame_info

other apps display similar errors

can anyone know how to fix these probs...
