Since a lot of people must be using Redhat 5.0 with the same (or a
similar) version of CVS, I'm sure we would have heard about problems
with it. Other factors include the version of the CVS server running on
AnonCVS.gnome.org, special patches to either the CVS server or your CVS
client, and other version skews.
Still, you may want to see if there are any errata/updates to RedHat's
cvs rpm.
