pbs with libgnomeui.so

hi,
i have a little problem :
when i compile gmc (mc-4.5.1) i have a compile error :
/usr/local/lib/libgnomeui.so: undefined reference to 'dgettext'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
...
an nm -u libgnomeui.so indicate that dgettext is undefined but i have
compile and install gettext-0.10 and the lib libintl.a has a dgettext.o
but
dcgettext__  is undefine.

who see the problem ? can you help me ?
 

I have Slackware 3.5 + kernel 2.0.35 and i have install :
glib-1.1.3        libungif-3.0        ORBit-0.3.0        gtk+-1.1.2
imlib-1.8.1      autoconf-2.12  libgr-2.0.13         automake-1.3
libgtop-0.26.0     gettext-0.10     libpng-1.0.2    giflib-3.0
libtool-1.0h

Gnome:
gnome-core-0.30    gnome-libs-0.30.1
