I am running, testing, learning Gnome for a few months now (even sometime
successfully compiling it) with the hope that one day I`ll be able to contribute
something. I have to say that this 'maximizing over the panel issue' is the most
annoying behavior I`ve encountered so far. IMHO, this is definitively a priority.
With Windows doing it, it is an expected behavior for the average corporate
computer user, which I think this project is attempting to reach.
I`m just too ignorant to attempt to solve it myself.
