Esound, was Re: gnome getting very demanding ???

  Bingo !! Just compiled the latest from CVS and set 'auto_spawn=0' and
now GNOME sessions and running apps start right up now, no delay trying
to start esd (and failing) and no more session log full of errors, actually
no esd, etc. related warnings or errors at all in the log.
  Also for whatever reason it fixes a problem I had and posted about zombie
sessions, ie:

  As you can see no more zombies, I don't know how or why but all I did was
compile/install the new esound, set the option, exit and start a new session,
I'm a happy camper again :-)
