its fairly simple :) ( is this in the faq yet anybody?)
You need to add the gnome-pager applet to the panel or;
check the setting in e-conf ( via cc ) that controls display of
iconised apps :)
Hope this helps

Ok folks, I gave up :)
this is gnome 1.0 RPM on RH 5.2, with E 0.15.5.
for some reason, when I minimize a windows (such as netscape browser),
or an xterm, the window disappear from desktop, never to be found. so
I can't open it again.
I looked everywhere for it, under all the other windows, it
is gone. I have only one desktop.
it is not on the gnome panel. but the app is still running.
(I see it with ps command).
any idea? how do I get the running programs to display on gnome panel
so I can easily switch between windows? There does not seem an
obvious way to do this. (they used to do that before, but now
for some reason, gnome panel is almost empty execept for the
standard icons (netscape, help, GNOME configuration tool, GNOME
control center thing).
I am sure I am overlooking something too simple and obvious here!
thanks,
Nasser
