Have you changed your Video Card lately?  :)  Seriuosly, though, I
haven't noticed the problem, but I do know that the way it is done now
seems to be much slower than it used to be on machines without good X
acceleration support (like mine, as I'm currently stuck with a
Framebuffer X server).
