Oh, and also.. it works with OSS, but not w/ the kernel modules, both ways
my 'cat /dev/sndstat'  comes up the same, specifying Sound Blaster Pro (8
BIT ONLY).  And no probs w/ OSS...

Esd's never worked w/ the kernel modules though, 2.0.x or 2.1.x for as
long as I can remember
