Hi,
Using todays cvs (along with cvs ORBit and gnome-libs), I can't get the panel to display
anything. When I run the panel, the only thing that appears is a blank grey section at
the bottom of the screen. The following output appears on the screen:
[lyndon@r lyndon]$ panel
** CRITICAL **: file extern.c: line 733 (panel_corba_gtk_init): assertion `ev._major == CORBA_NO_EXCEPTION' failed.
** WARNING **: goad_server_activate: goad.c 590: unexpected exception IDL:CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0:
** WARNING **: sysex: IDL:CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0.
** WARNING **: usrex: IDL:CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0.
The panel is completely unresponsive. The only way to close it is to kill it. I don't
know exactly where it is hanging, because gdb won't work with it:
[lyndon@r lyndon]$ gdb bin/panel

[lyndon@r lyndon]$
Based on the error message, I suspect ORBit, but gnomecc works reasonably well.
