There's a corrugated looking area on the left hand side of the icon. I
think manipulating that caused this to happen to mine. Otherwise, I
haven't had any problems with it except when I come back after the drive
mount applet crash.
The two little buttons on the right bottom do useful things and I hadn't
seen them before 0.99.38.
I just found out that if one manipulated the corrugated area too much
and drags the mini-commander around, it will drop core and disappear.
Details if anyone thinks this is a bug and not a way to make sure that
people don't play with their panels.
