Ok, makes a lot of sense. What would be the next steps to set it up ?
I run rsync on rufus, and i agree that in the first phase, i.e. the file
list exchange it's seriously I/O and CPU hungry, but the transfer phase
behaves a lot like an FTP transfer session. Rsync is perfect for building
mirrors, but not for public accesses. I guess it perfectly fits the need
of building better mirrors of the Gnome server (CVS, ftp, http), which
seems to be one of the most urgent things to do.
