gnumeric : handling of formats

The recent gnumeric won't read files, downloaded as Excel compatible
format from a local bank via net. It isn't the case with the gnumeric 0.27
compiled on 3rd July. It indeed issues a message saying 'Extra content at
the end of the document', but at least it loads them.

Wouldn't it be preferable to let gnumeric handle bad formed files, when it
comes to reading, leaving some margin of tolerance ?
