Gnome is unable to find default icons .. ?

Hi,

I have totally recompiled gnome from CVS today, using /usr as prefix.
Icons are in /usr/share/pixmaps. However gnome tells me that it is unable
to find the default icons. I think there's some sort of library problem.
If I change an icon of a shortcut, gnome is also unable to display a
preview of the icon. .xpm icons don't work either. During compilation,
the png library is found, so that can't be the problem.

(I was able to use the icons before recompiling)

Can anybody please help me out ?

Thanks !

Jasper
