latest GNOME on FreeBSD

Hello,

Iīm trying to install the latest GNOME version on my FreeBSD Box.I had
to make some changes to the code, that it would compile and now, Iīve
the following problem.

Whenever a application starts, (e.g. the panel or the gmc) I get the
following
message(s):
----------------------------------
gdk_imlib ERROR: Cannot load image:
/opt/gnome/share/pixmaps/gnome-default.png
All fallbacks failed.
----------------------------------

Any idea what could be wrong with my installation?
