Gnome terminal and font

Can anybody tell me why if I run "gnome-terminal --font=9x15" or write 9x15
(or any other size I know that is avaliable) in the font input box of the
settings it works but I do not see the font when using the font selector?
Bug? Did i not look enough? Something special in the font selector? What?
