Install from RPMs, undefined symbol errors?

Hi,

I just installed Gnome 1.0 from the rpms and now when I try to run X, I
get the following error:

/usr/X11R6/bin/Xwrapper: error in loading shared libraries
: undefined symbol: __deregister_frame_info
_X11TransSocketUNIXconnect: Can't connect: errno = 2

...and so on...


What library(s) have I messed up? Any one know?  Any other suggestion?

All was working well with KDE before, now I am stuck with the command line.
