problems compiling gtk+

hi all,

thanks for the quick reply about my earlier email regarding glib.
managed to compiled it with gmake.... after two gmakes.


i'm trying to compile gtk+ now... latest cvs source code from some hours
back.
platform is solaris2.5.1. i run autogen and the final few lines are
updating cache ./config.cache
creating ./config.status
creating gtk+.spec
creating Makefile
creating gtk-config
creating po/Makefile.in
Can't open ./po/Makefile.in.in
creating docs/Makefile
creating gdk/Makefile
creating gtk/Makefile
creating gtk/gtkfeatures.h
creating config.h



its unable to make gtk+/po/Makefile.in
if i do an ls in gtk+/po , both Makefile and Makefile.in are 0 bytes.

i tried using both gcc and cc(Sun Compiler), makes no difference.
obviously both make and gmake fail.
i compiled glib earlier and added it to my LD_LIBRARY_PATH and my PATH
also.

any ideas folks?
