attached is my gnome 1.0 removal script.  I've run it 2 times now and it
works fine.  Then to install gnome just type rpm -ivh *rmp from the dir
where you put al the rpms.  For older versions of gnome jsut add/remove
packages from the script.  Also include any gnome/gtk+ apps that you
have added like gtkicq or gtksamba.
