I thought I got my gdm problems fixed, but as it turns out, I can't login
as root in gdm.
Actually, I don't get an invalid login error, I think it logs in, but then
restarts X right away
so I brings up a new gdm login screen again.
I tried deleting all my gnome and enlightenment config files in /root, and
just left the
.xsession file but it still does not work.
how is the gdm user and group created ? I just did a useradd -g gdm gdm
