If I were you, I would subscribe to general the egcs mailing list and post the
problem there (see http://egcs.cygnus.com/lists.html for how to subscribe).

Another list to address to should be that of your distributor. But it might be problematic: by compiling egcs yourself you have got a mixed system. As we can frequently see on this list, this is also a big problem with the gnome packages.
People _only_ using rpms or _only_ using vcs/tarballs in combination with very
consequent installation/directory-hierarchy policy seem to have less problems
than those with mixed systems.

Me too, I had lots of problems before I decided to remove anything and to get
everything via CVS and to compile everything myself.
