corba and vim

I'd love to see vim, GNOME'fied.  Currently there is a discussion going on
in the vim discusison list about whether vim should be a corba object. I
think this would be a great thing for GNOME if it was a corba object.
One of the stumbling blocks is that they need a fast CORBA implementation
thats free.  If someone who could represent GNOME post something about
ORBit that would be cool.
