GMC and the panel

I submitted this to http://bugs.gnome.org, but it seems as though the bug is a long way up there on the road to being fixed.

Anyway, the bug is that the gmc icons display behind the panel, no matter how much auto-aranging you do. Does gmc respect the panel's presence on anyone's computer? Isn't this a big ole' bug? I myself can live with a few crashes, but I would think this is glaring, and must be fixed. How many times do you click cancel anyways:)
