loosing mouse event

Hi everybody,

I've just installed Gnome1.0 with Enlightenment as window manager in my
Redhat5.2/Intel box.  Once in a while Gnome would not respond to mouse
clicks -- though keyboard, and mouse-move events are still processed. 
This happens in the two(2) Gnome/Enlightenment machines that I have.

Any idea on what's happening?
