Most likely their client has some weird bug that just happens to be
triggered by something that just happens to only occur in your Gnome
environment. No telling what that is without getting the source to the
Ultima client and doing some debugging. Maybe it isn't ICCCM compliant and
can't handle session management. It's most definitely a bug in the Ultima
client though, not Gnome, so I'd report it to them.
