what does it do? am i correct in thinking that the command mentioned
here is launched, and if the $status is non-zero, the main command is
executed (ie the one in the main tab)

then again, maybe not.. ??

i've searched the faqs, googled the web, gone through user docs, scanned
to cvs code, but am unable to find the answer... if you know *where* to
look for it, please do reply... i'd as much like the source of the
answer, as the answer itself!
