can't run any gnome application under Solaris 2.5.1

Hi,

I just installed gnome-core 1.0.53 and everthing needed.
Unfortunately any application e.g. gmenu, gnome-terminal, panel
dies silently. The OS is Solaris 2.5.1 Sparc, Compiler gcc 2.95.1.

Has anybody had a similar experiences or any hint to make it work?
