gmc and nfs

Hi all,

I am having trouble with gmc and nfs. Gmc mounts/unmounts/browses nfs
drives fine. The problem is that if I lose my connection gmc locks up
all together. Even after X is restarted. After a reconnect and remount,
gmc *sometimes* figures itself out. It a rather annoying ordeal when 
I am trying to get stuff done in those drives. 

I am wondering if there is anything I can to to prevent it from locking
up. 

Also, and I'll bet this is in a faq somewhere, I just can't find it. Is
there a way to make left click -> drag -> drop, default to copy instead
of move or a way to make it prompt me like it does with middle click?
Or point me in the direction of the source file I need to modify.
