It could be esd-related, but I'm not sure it is.  I got it on my system when
esd was working, and now that it's not, I still get it.  About the only thing I
can think of is that I made a change to the [daemon] section of gdm.conf.  I
removed the --disable-sound option from the Greeter entry to see what happened
(nothing different, i.e. I don't get any sound or anything), and I haven't
bothered putting it back in.  Maybe I'll give that a try.
