Right Click Menu

Im inquiring about the menu I get when I right click on the Gnome desktop.
I would like to know  if there's a way to edit or add items to it.
I want to duplicate Gnome's full menu.
"this would be a full start or Gnome menu
accessible from anywhere on the Desktop"
Any comments or helpful tips on how to 
edit this would be nice.
