this is not a big deal but, wouldn't it be clearer if
gnome_embeddable_corba_object_create took as a parameter a
GnomeEmbeddable, instead of a GnomeObject??

then, to activate the servant:
gnome_object_activate_servant (GNOME_OBJECT (object),
                               servant);
