gmc desktop icon fonts too small

Greetings!,

Is there a way to increase the size of desktop fonts of the icons of gmc? 
(e.g. home directory,cdrom and floppy). its so hard to read it. I tried 
editing it but there was no properties to set the size of its fonts. 
furthermore, where can I get more icons?
