You need a window manager; there are several you can use, including:

Enlightenment		
sawmill			
icewm
WindowMaker
BlackBox
fvwm

to name a few. You can find them all at rpmfind.net. 

Enlightenment requires a few other rpms to run, in addition to those
that GNOME requires. You can get the information at
http://www.enlightenment.org.

Also take a look at the GNOME faq for a good explanation of the
relationship between GNOME and the window manager.
