I had this problem on one of my customers systems.  I did a 
complete reinstall of RH-6.2 - custom and haven't upgraded any 
Gnome stuff yet and it all seems fine.  I believe there may have 
been something wrong with one of the packages when I did a 
Helixcode update.  I'm now just going to wait until Gnome 1.2 comes 
out.  I'm running 1.1.9 here and it runs great.  Best yet.
