This is not strictly Gnome I suppose but I am using Gnome so here is I
hope an easy question for someone.
I had a runaway process the other night that kept showing OK dialog boxes
as fast as I could press the OK button. And the dialogs were on top, so I
couldn't even see the text of a ps ux of the process to kill.
So I did a Ctrl Alt 1 to get to a console and login that way and kill the
offending process.
I couldn't figure out a way to then logout and then get back into my Gnome
GUI session. I settled for a reboot rather than just turning the machine
off or somthing equally as stupid.
Now the question is: is there a way of getting back into my GUI session?
Or is how I would up doing it the way I should do it?
